We offer the following editing services:
Non-Linear Video Editing: Does your video content need a bit of cleaning up before you immortalize it on DVD? Parrot Video Services has you covered with our non-linear video editing. We will use our computer software to make edits to your content and insert some special DVD navigation features for you. Because you cannot be present to supervise the editing, you’ll need to have a clear list of instructions for us.
Unlike most companies that charge by the hour ($80 to $125 per hour and more!) Parrot Video Services charges per “step” or “service” performed. Here’s how it works:
- $25 setup charge to encode your video file to the hard drive
- $5 per edit
- $5 to add an optional interactive menu page at the beginning of the DVD
- $5 per “Chapter Point” inserted so you can link from the menu page to specific scenes in the video
The finished edited video will be burned to an archival-quality DVD for you. Our DVDs are playable on almost any DVD-R player.
MPEG Encoding: Do you have a bunch of digital content languishing unseen and unshared on a memory stick, SD card, flash drive, or thumb drive? Our MPEG encoding service can help you get your content into a format you can actually use and enjoy. We can transfer your photos and video to CD or DVD for slide shows, video montages, JPEG archiving, and viewing on DVD.
Foreign Format Conversion: The fact that there are three different video formats used in the world (PAL, SECAM, and NTSC) can be quite annoying when you’re trying to view foreign content or prepare your content for foreign use. PAL is used in Western Europe and Australia, SECAM is used in Eastern Europe and France, and here in the US and Canada we use NTSC. Fortunately, Parrot Video Services can provide foreign format conversion to convert virtually any videotape or DVD to or from NTSC. Any length PAL conversion $29
